How to Access Passport
To access Passport, begin by going to the Databases section on the library website.
Type Passport in the search field. Select Passport from the list and click GO.
Select Passport, as shown in the screenshot below.
Alternatively, select Passport from the International Business Research Guide > Key Databases & Journals.
An Example Search
Let’s say that you are interested in exploring the global market for pet food. You can start your search by selecting the Industries tab on the main home page of the database.
From there, you can navigate to Home Products and select Pet Care.
Next, depending on your exact information need, there are lots of options to choose from. You can focus on a particular country and category, by selecting Explore Analysis > Country Report (in this example, cat food in France). You can take a macro view of industry growth by selecting the Interactive Dashboard feature (Pet Care Overview). Or, you can browse recent reports, including the one displayed here, World Market for Pet Care.
Here is an example Table of Contents for the Country Report Cat Food in France, just to illustrate some of the data available. As you can see, the report contains data for both the category, including sales and forecasts, and the consumer, including the percentage of cat-owning households.
