Module 1: Foundations in Equity, Aging and Health Care

After participating in this module, students will be able to:

1. Explain how the intersections of multiple social locations create and influence inequities.
2. Demonstrate how ageism can negatively affect the health of older people.
3. Illustrate one way an understanding of intersectionality can improve the healthcare experiences of older people.
4. Examine and describe how various healthcare roles can work to combat ageism across settings.
