Case Stories

The following four case stories were designed to use in conjunction with the modules to enhance learning around each topic. Our intention is for students to follow the individuals and families described in the case stories across their engagement with the course content. Thus, their exploration of the case with one module can be used to support engagement with the case for subsequent modules. In this way, students can add to the story and connect a narrative to each person in the context of their families and community.

While the case stories are fictional, we sought to include contextual information that is based on reports of lived experiences that are publicly available. We also drew on our own experiences to further add detail to the stories. In each module you will find purple textboxes containing exercises and questions to connect the content to the case stories.
