Accessibility Statement
Mount Saint Vincent University is committed to meeting the requirements of the Accessibility Act, 2017. One of the ways in which this is done is through “fostering a culture of accessibility and encouraging the prevention and removal of barriers to education”.1
The Child and Youth Department supports this commitment and believes that education needs to be available to everyone. Creating this Open Educational Resource supported by the principles of universal design for learning is one step to support this commitment, particularly in the areas of teaching, learning and research.1 We are actively committed to increasing the accessibility and usability of the materials we produce.

- Some additional resources may link to YouTube videos. These videos have CC provided by Youtube, but we cannot guarantee that they are accurate. There may not be accurate audio description available for these videos.
- The Drag and Drop activities in Topic 2 and Topic 8 are inaccessible. Due to limitations in the H5P activity system, the dropzones can not be described to a screen reader. These activities are not counted towards your grade, and there are other means of accessing the information within the topic.
