Land Acknowledgment

This resource was created in Kjipuktuk (Halifax), part of Mi’kma’ki, the traditional and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. We would like to pay respect to the Indigenous custodianship of this land and to Elders, past and present. We hope that this work, and its emphasis on inclusive learning, leads to greater incorporation of Indigenous content in online courses, more diverse ways of engaging and assessing knowledge, and to decolonized approaches to higher education.
